Welcome, thank you for visiting.
We
are a new company started up because of a love for handbags, a love for nature and an appreciation for historic vintage
fashion accessories. Currently we have a few items listed on eBay and many more are ready for listing, so keep
checking with us to see what kind of treasures we have.
If your style is "Talbots style" classic,
Boho chic, Western Cowgirl, Busy Mommy, Artfully Eclectic, Athletically Sporty or anywhere in between we have something for
you. All designs are one of a kind, some may be similar, but different fabrics and embellishments have been used.
Vintage pieces in great condition are sold "as is".
Vintage or used pieces that are
in need of a little help have been mended and amended to become a beautiful "new" re-useable handbag.
New bags are made from at least 75% recycled products. I purchase used skirts, jeans, shirts, dresses, placemats, tablecloths,
blankets and other textiles to make the bags. First thing, I wash the items and hang them to dry in the Oregon
Sunshine. After they are cleaned I take photographs of each item so I can show my customers where their handbag came
from. I take each piece of clothing and look at its shape to see if I can re-use any of the original construction, i.e.
pockets, buttons, zippers, sewn seams, trims, etc. and then I get creative and see how I can use them to design a beautiful,
functional, classy, fun and practical handbag. I make trips to the hardware store, the farm store, garage sales, thrift
stores and flea markets, looking for items to re-purpose as handles, pockets, fasteners, trims, etc. Each creation
is thought of often and many are started and finished later once the perfect handle is found or the perfect lining fabric
is discovered.
I am interested in making creations from items that you as a customer love as well.
If you have a special dress you can no longer wear or some of your children's clothes that you want to keep but not just
in a box somewhere... then contact me for a consultation and we can design you a bag full of memories.
Cheers!
